Putting Clinical Trials in the palm of your hand!

Today

Clinical trials have been traditionally compromised by incorrect data entry, vast amounts of paperwork (both for Doctors and Clinical Trials project managers). Trials are also characterised by the collection and correlation of huge amounts of data from numerous diverse sources. In addition a high degree of commitment is necessary from an often overstretched and paperwork burdened community of healthcare professionals for the trial to succeed.

Tomorrow!

The solution to the traditional problems encountered in Clinical Trials has been discovered, with the birth of e-Trialist!

Completely mobile, pocket-sized and 'always on'
Individual patient history available at the touch of a button
Patient-side real-time data collection…
...and therefore virtual eradication of data entry errors
Individual patient question prompt sequences
Built-in threshold alerts
Time stamping of data and the use of reminders enhances the quality of the data significantly.
Instantaneous, one-touch upload
Customised analyses/progress charts
Built-in print functions
FDA compliant (first drug approved in 2003 using data collected on handheld devices)
Integration with back end systems
Less time taken for clinical trials –fast and easy data processing/easy storage and data download (database lock => hours vs days)

After data is entered into the PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) during an individual visit/round of visits it can then be uploaded to a PC or central database either via a cradle or a wireless connection. This is virtually instantaneous, requires little technical knowledge or training and significantly reduces the time spent trancribing, editing, retyping, proofreading, and the process of clarification. The virtual eradication of additional paperwork, the predefined question sequencing, notification of thresholds and the efficient use of the technology will contribute to the willingness of Doctors to participate in your trials and the quality of the data gathered.

So…what is e-Trialist?

e-Trialist is an end to end solution for your Clinical Trial needs. The product consists of 2 core modules:

HandyDoc – software for clinicians to capture subject experience
e-Diary – software for handheld patient diary data collection

Utilising CMO Global's ID3© project management methodology, the process of deploying e-Trialist in your organisation begins with a consultation phase to ascertain specific trial input and output requirements; customisation of e-Trialist templates; deployment of the web application to Servers, PCs and PDAs; training; and, (if required), the supply of PDAs themselves. CMO Global uses e-Trialist templates, developed in conjunction with one of the worlds largest Pharma companies, to design a system that fits your specific requirements. Not only can it streamline the data collection phase but it can also provide you with all of the analytical tools you need to take snap-shots of progress, flag-up threshold events and anomalous results, and is totally customisable!

For further information, or a no-obligation audit of your requirements please contact a CMO Global e-Business Consultant, and we will be happy to demonstrate how e-Trialist can benefit your on-going or planned clinical trials processes.
