The handheld assistant for Medical students
The vision of a surgeon completing her rounds at hospital ward
equipped with a handheld personal digital assistant (PDA) to access
and update all relevant information for each patient is approaching.
One of the stepping stones will be integrating the use of such
technology amongst medical students.
CMO InfoDoc is designed for medical schools and students. Whilst
InfoDocs primary objective is to improve the efficiencies
between students and medical faculties, a secondary goal of InfoDoc
is helping medical students to become familiar with the operation
and application of PDA technology so they are ready to realise
its full potential when entering their chosen fields. Afterall
the medical profession is mobile.
