Web Applications

Web applications can have profound effects on the efficiency of an organisation. CMO Global has extensive experience developing solutions for innovative business' models in an online environment. CMO Global has developed an approach for clients that reflects the requirement of producing high quality cost effective solutions in limited timeframes.

From online shops, to electronic patient records management and property management solutions, CMO Global has developed web applications for a variety of industry verticals and clients. We have very strict development methodologies to ensure that the solutions that we deliver meet your expectations. This has resulted in the development of our own proprietary software development methodology, the ID3 Project Management Methodology. This ensures that we work with you to produce a web application that will indeed benefit your business.

We can build web applications on most commonly used platforms, however we prefer Microsoft Platforms which we have been developing web based solutions on for 7 years. When Microsoft.NET was released, CMO promptly carried out reviews of the platform, and were soon recommending that all clients should develop applications using the Microsoft.NET framework. Today we continue to advise clients to develop applications on this platform given the flexibility, scalability and efficiencies realised from the platform. 80% of enterprise applications that we have build in the last 2 years have been built on a .NET/SQL/IIS platform, and it is indeed our preferred development environment.

CMO Global have developed applications using Microsoft .NET technology for major health and safety initiatives in the UK as well as in Australia. Our experience with Microsoft.NET technology leads us to conclude that this techonology will provide the benchmark for developments well into the future. The ability to use .NET webservices to share data seamlessly between different systems will be of significant benefit to the healthcare industry, given the amount of data that is recorded, and the differing requirements for its distribution. Indeed, .NET technology is so powerful that if should revolutionise the healthcare industry.

Our applications are developed to ensure they are flexible and scalable. This is ensured in 2 ways:

1) Selection of technology
2) Use of Technology

Selection of Technology
To ensure applications are flexible and scalable, appropriate technology needs to be selected to reduce the risk of redundancy and other legacy issues. Using the Microsoft.NET platform as the basis for a development is central to this strategy, given the investment in this technology that has been made in recent years. Supporting technologies then need to be selected appropriately, for example if an application is to be mobilized with handheld devices such as Pocket PCs or Palm Pilots, which is most appropriate in the healthcare industry, then these devices and operating systems need to be selected with diligence.

Use of Technology
Once appropriate technology has been selected for a software development, then this technology needs to be used in the most effective manner. CMO Global’s proprietary ID3 Methodology ensures this, by requiring stringent design documents to be produced and indeed approved. The most important aspect of a development to ensure flexibility and scalability of applications is the database design. The data flow needs to be mapped carefully and translated into a comprehensive database design before development commences, to ensure that data is managed efficiently, and there are no restrictions on future use built into the database.

We cherish the opportunity to build a web application to increase the efficiency and quality of service of your business. Please contact us for further details.
